Born in 1969, Rourke Van Dal in his own words was "born with a wooden spoon in my gob on a council estate in Bradford". He has cemented his place on the Urban Art scene and takes inspiration from the streets on which he grew up.
Much of the images seen in Van Dal's work can be related back to an aray of influences from a decade of Doc Martins, Punk Rock, Skins, and skateboards. A recent development in Van Dal's work has been a collaboration with photographer Gavin Watson on his series of portaits 'Skins'.
Quickly gaining in popularity, Rourke has now exhibited his art work across Europe and America with rumours of plenty more to be on the way in the new year.
